Within the UK, deliveries are typically 1-3 days.
International deliveries are typically 3-5 days.

Not a problem. Though this is a rare occurrence, accidents sometimes happen during shipping. When your order arrives, please accept delivery, open and inspect the goods and take photographs of any damage to the crate / packaging and its goods.

Please notify us at hello@formedconcretebasins.com within 24-48hrs of delivery attaching photographs as proof of any damage. Our shipments are fully insured so if any damage has occurred this will allow a claim to be made.

In the meantime, we will manufacture your order again and ship it to you as soon as possible. We will notify you of the new estimated delivery time.

Note. You must inspect the crate and goods as soon they arrive in order to avoid any dispute issues with a shipping claim. BASINS

Are your basins water resistant / stainproof?

All our basins are professionally sealed before shipping with the best system available on the market today. The sealant is water resistant and stainproof.

How do you care / clean the basin?

It is best to use a soft cloth with warm water and soap / washing-up liquid regularly. We have found E-cloths to be the best.
Abrasive cloths / sponges should never be used as they can permanently damage or erode the sealant - exposing the concrete to potential staining.
Cream cleaners should never be used. These products have small particulates that can gradually erode the sealant on the surface - exposing the concrete to potential staining.
Further information is available on our Product Care sheet.

Where can we buy brackets?

If your basin is to be wall hung, brackets are included with your order.

Do your basins have a warranty?

Yes. Our warranty can be viewed here.

MAX MODULAR CABINET SYSTEM

How it works

What is the Max modular cabinet system and why is it a good investment.

Max cabinet is a concrete cabinet available in 3 sizes and multiple interior and exterior colours, designed to be combined to form a storage wall for your home, bathroom or commercial space.
You can purchase a single cabinet or an entire system, starting with just what you need and expanding later. It’s easy to dismantle, reconfigure, and take with you when you move - nothing goes to waste. Designed and made to last for generations, it
offers timeless style and functionality.
Along with the standard options, the Max cabinet can be customised in size and finish to meet your specific needs.

Is the Max cabinet available in a range of colours?

Yes. Both the exterior of the cabinet and interior are available in choice of colours allowing you to personally tailor the design to suit your space and aesthetic taste.

I already have some Max cabinet modules. Can I order more to match?

Yes. We can produce additional matching Max cabinets.

USE

Can I use it in the bathroom?

Yes. The Max cabinet is designed to be used in the bathroom either as standalone storage or in combination with the range of integrated or surface mounted Formed basins.

Can I use it in the bedroom?

Yes. The Max cabinet can be used in a single module form in the bedroom as a bedside cabinet or in larger configurations to provide storage options.

Can I use it in the home?

Yes. The Max cabinet can be used as a single module or in larger configurations to provide storage options and a shelf for home décor or audio and visual equipment.

Can I use it in a commercial setting?

Yes. The cabinet is just as comfortable in a commercial setting as it is at home.

Can the cabinet support a heavy weight?

Yes. The adjustable cabinet hooks are designed to provide up to
180kg of support per pair.

Can the cabinet be freestanding?

Yes. We can provide a coordinating metal frame either in natural finish or painted to match to support your cabinet without the need for walls.

MATERIALS, COLOUR AND FINISH

What are the components made from?

The exterior shell is made from our own eco concrete design mix. Developed in our own R&D department over the course 20 years. Made from 80% recycled materials the concrete is the only one of its kind in the world.
The concrete is sealed to provide stain and scratch resistance.
The Max metal cabinet has a brushed metal exterior and is made from 100% stainless steel, brass or aluminium.
The Max cabinet interior is made from sustainable FSC sourced furniture grade birch ply and finished with a lacquer that protects and nourishes the wood.
Colours available are natural, oak, walnut and 40 colours to match our concrete.
The soft closing drawer glides and hangers are made from zinc coated steel and provide full adjustment.

Can I mix components (concrete / wood / metal)?

Absolutely. The possibilities are limitless. Concrete pairs seamlessly with metal, and when combined with natural or coloured interior wood, the range of combinations is endless.

Do the cabinets surface scratch?

Our concrete is sealed with a lacquer, which has a moderately durable finish. Rough bottom objects / pots / vases etc will scratch the surface if dragged across the cabinet. We advise that the underside of objects be smooth or protected with self-adhesive soft felt or cork to protect the cabinet surface from scratches.
Metal is highly durable but can similarly scratch if rough bottom objects are dragged across the cabinet surface. We advise that the underside of objects be smooth or protected with self-adhesive soft felt or cork to protect the cabinet surface from scratches.

How do I clean my cabinets?

We recommend using warm water on a cloth with a little washing up liquid, followed by drying with another cloth. We have found E cloths to be the best.

Will my cabinet need re-sealing?

The exterior concrete is sealed at our factory before shipping and does not require regularly sealing by the user. Should your concrete become damaged in the future, contact us and we can help to advise you what to do.
Interior wood inside the cabinet it lacquered prior to shipping. Should the interior require future maintenance, small areas can be touched up easily with colour by yourself or your contractor without needing to remove the cabinet from its installed position. Contact us and we can provide advice on how to best do this.

WALLS AND FLOORS

Do I need a wall?

Not necessarily. We can provide a frame designed to support the cabinet and make it floor standing.
If the cabinet is intended to be hung on the wall, please ensure that the wall is sufficiently strong enough to support the weight of the cabinet and its contents.

Can the cabinet be installed onto a brick / block / concrete wall?

Yes. There are many fixings now available on the market that are designed for different substrate walls.

Can the cabinet be installed onto plasterboard / gypsum board?

We recommend that the cabinet fixings be secured to the vertical or horizontal timber / metal studs of the wall if being fixed to a plasterboard wall. Fixings should not be secured to plaster board alone. A plasterboard wall may be reinforced to provide a suitably strong wall substrate. We recommend discussing this with your building contractor.

Can I hide my wiring?

Yes. The top surface of each cabinet is designed to sit flush with the wall. Let us know your requirements and we can pre-cut suitable holes for electrical wires for your equipment. Alternatively, the cabinet can be cut with a suitable stone, metal and wood hole cutter by yourself or your contractor in the future to provide necessary wire outlets.

RECONFIGURATION, INSTALLATION AND MOVING

Does the cabinet arrive flat packed?

No. Our cabinets are all pre-assembled. All you need to do is hang the cabinets.

Is it easy to install the Max cabinet?

Yes. You will need a suitable drill and wall fixings and a crosshead screwdriver to adjust the cabinet once mounted, and some patience. See our installation sheet that comes with your delivery.

How difficult is it for a ‘competent’ person to install it?

We include instructions with your delivery. Understanding of walls is more important than any experience of cabinet installation. Competent DIYers / builders / carpenters can install the cabinets.
Included in the instructions are the recommended types of wall fixings for different wall types. Brands of fixing may vary across the globe, but choosing the most suitable heavy-duty fixings available will provide easy installation and a lifetime of use.

Now the cabinets are installed, what can I do with my packaging?

If possible, you can return the packaging to us for reuse. If not, we encourage you to reuse it yourself. We've seen creative examples, like children’s dens made from our packaging. Alternatively, you can recycle it at your nearest recycling centre. All our packaging is recyclable.
